Laminate flooring over existing underlay?

I'm laying a laminate flooring onto a concrete floor, on removing the existing carpet it revealed good quality underlay.

    My question is should/could I -

    1. Lay the laminate onto the existing underlay for added sound deadening and insulation?

    2. Use the combined vapour barrier/underlay I bought on top of the old underlay?

    3. Remove old underlay altogether?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

    Hi

I would remove the old underlay and use new stuff bought, the old one is generally not suitable for laying a laminate floor on top of as there is too much movement in it.
