    hi Folks,

I'm hoping to get away this with my 18 mth old - as it's going to be just the 2 of us a sun holiday is a little daunting at the moment so I think we'll stay in ireland.

I think self catering is the way to go but I'd like something attached to a hotel so if the weather isn't great we could avail of the facilitles in the hotel.

Does anyone know of such a place ??

    Thanks

There is always the Shannon Oaks in Portumna, Co Galway. They have wodden chalets(newly built) on the grounds and a big hotel next door. Nice location near the river and river crossing with a marina and a nice small village. You are within an easy driving distance to West Clare, Ennis, Bunratty, Galway and Limerick.

Have a look at the Castle Rosse Hotel in Killarney.
Stayed in one of their Holiday Cottages last year.
Really nice and in the grounds of the hotel with pool ect.
