    Do you wear them?
    What type?

I am considering getting a pair of sunglasses for training runs as my eyes are quite sensitive to the sun. I notice I was pretty much blinded when I turned into the sun last week.

I know our sunshine is limited but when are out there it surprising how many sunny runs you will get in between now and the end of the year.

How about these available from Aldi at the moment:

    http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/2867_8586.htm

They are advertised for bikers, but I'm sure they'd fit the bill.

As an aside it might be just one more reason for the general public to "have a go" at you......

I'd be lost without my Oakleys. I wear them all year round on bright days. I find the glare from Winter sun harder on my eyes.

I tried Bolle but they didn't fit as well.... bounced to much when I was training.

The sweat seems to go into my eyes a lot more when I'm wearing glasses. Does anybody have any solutions?

I wear a cap during every run. Keeps the sun and rain out, keeps my hair out of the way and helps me feel more invisible to passers by...worn one since I started running when I felt like I needed to hide. More psychological now than funcional methinks.

That's quite a problem during the Summer, where I run. I might pick up a pair of those Aldi ones.

Quick 'n Tasty protien shot! :D

I've have a pair of the Aldi ones picked them up last year not bad do the job the flys in the eyes can be a bit annoying all right - especially in the evening times. I normally wear bloc sunglasses they fit me well and don't bounce around can be got for around €30-€35.

I wore a hat on every run last year, its also very effective at keeping the sun (and sweat) out of the eyes

Sundog glasses are the way to go. I have a pair of these http://www.p2d.co.uk/acatalog/info_1_SDTRAK.html
there are interchangable lenses covering all light conditions. Also they don't fog up and are extremely light weight and do not slip while you run. I bough a pair of the Aldi ones- not bad for the price but they do fog up too easily and become unconfortable on longer runs.

    +1 for Oakleys

Dunno what I'd do without mine - which got robbed 10 days ago, must replace... - they are a little on the pricey side, but they're extremely effective at removing the glare from the sun. Originally started wearing them for watersports as the glare off the water can be horrible, but find them very comfortable and helpful for running too.

My last pair were half jackets, which I'll prob go for again. They have no frame at the bottom of the lense so any sweat/water that gets on them runs off easily. Depending on how dark the lenses you choose are, they can be worn in most conditions and I would very often have them on even on (bright) cloudy days.

    +1 for Sundog!
I got the Sundog Marathon ones and they are super lightweight.. lighter than anything I previously got (Bolle and the Aldi running ones) and whilst sweat will pour down them they fog up very very little and even at that it clears pretty quickly. They are also good for someone on a budget - mine cost about €40 on ebay.

I've a couple of types for different conditions but by far the best are my oakley m-frames. get polarised lenses as well as they are really worth the extra money.

I've just checked my old emails and I bought a pair Rudy Project Kalyos in Aug '06 - have used them, cycling, running, on holidays and they followed me around India for a year - still in great shape (lenses perfect - paint had chipped a little on the stalks).
I paid $120 on ebay - you can get the same ones in Irish Fit for €77.

Agree with the Oakleys. They are the only way to go in terms of running glasses dont move one bit when running which it used to always happen with other glasses
