howrya lads, only recently found this site and finding it very interesting. as with a lot areas my spot has seen a massive decline in rabbit population (and related increase in buzzard population). i have a couple of young springers to train and am wondering if it is possible to get caught up wild rabbits anywhere to release. failing that does anyone have land i can find a few on for my dogs?? (north-east) any help on either account would be greatly appreciated. more interested in dog work than shooting side of it. ta

Rabbit pen is the way to go...
Buy a few tame ones & leave them off in it or even catch a few wild ones & mix them...
Great way to train springers/cockers. Great way to train adults also not off season. That way you don't run the risk of disturbing wild pheasants during breeding season. You can reinforce obediance all year round with little maintenance. Leave it grow wild inside & provide water & veg waste/scraps.

I wouldn't go releasing wild rabbits into land if its not yours. If you have a big enough plot then why not buy some mesh & get yours hands on galvanize sheets for the sides. Google it for a few videos... Some good ones of lads training dogs.

If you are in a club then why not centralize the project so all members can chip in but also use it. This was it is cheaper & you can make it bigger...
