    Hi Guys

Im getting married in July and we still havent booked our honeymoon!!

We cant decide where to go. We were thinking Thailand (phuket, koh sumi etc) or Hawaii maybe maui and do a few stops on the way back like San Fran etc.

We have been to Big Island in Hawaii a couple of years ago and we always said we'd head back to maui.

Have any of you guys been to both?? If you have been which one would you recommend??

    Cheers

My personal opinion is that I would not go anywhere where there are backpackers or sex tourists for a honeymoon like Phuket.

Im going to Phuket next week so maybe I can post something more informative then but I would envisage that heading west towards Hawaii would be a better option.

I have looked at the Seychelles, Maldives, Barbados and the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon but considering we have not set a date for the wedding a lot could change between now and then.

Off Phuket there is a grouping of islands called Koh Don Phi Phi(or just Phi Phi) and they have a hotel called the Holiday Inn which has beach huts on stilts. They were around €125 per night for us for our trip next week and well worth it from the pictures.

+1 do not stay in koh samui, too small and you will get bored
phuket is full of sleeze but you can also have a good time there as not every bar is hopping with go go girls, as for a honeymoon id never choose there, phi phi is a good recommendation.

also what about doing some island hopping? there are loads of little islands to hop around to.
