dahab for a week. info re tour companies

    hi,
    heading to dahab, eygpt for week.due to arrive in 3 weeks. tried to book diving via aqua divers but they never replied to messages. reckon might be dodgey. any other companies to recommend?
    what's it like to book diving, tours (e.g. pyramids/mount sinai/petra) on spec when u arrive as we've only booked flights and hotel.
    also, any other tips welcome- cost of living, climate, nite life etc

    Tripadvisor have some really good forums for Egypt where you might get a better response if there's not many replies

    Ive been there with Club Vass, windsurfing more than diving but both companies do diving as well, really nice, wicked fun and so chilled out.

    It was 8yrs ago that I went but we had no trouble booking diving while there. In Egypt everyone everyhwere is trying to sell you packages to wherever. I remember the bus from cairo to dahab being 20 hours or something like that so not really worth it. Mount sinai isnt too far off though (its v cold on top, youve been warned), rasabigaloo is close enough too, ask about it when your over there.
