I’m a 26 year old male and in summary I think I’m quietly close to breaking point. My life has completely lost direction – a process which has been ongoing probably since middle teens.

Without sounding like a twat I was probably quite fortunate (not successful) in the various aspects of my life but unfortunately made (close to) nothing of the opportunities that were in front of me. The end game is a picture of complete and utter failure, a feeling I’m constantly reminded of at every turn whether this is reading a newspaper, walking down the street, flicking on the TV, talking to family and freinds etc.

From the limited info above has anyone good suggestions, outside of the old reliable of sports clubs, on how best to kick start a 26 year olds life back into action?

Job: Yes, thankfully for now - But it is a bit demeaning TBH.
Limited education (the Leaving/dropped out of College - Im not 'Book' material :o) so maybe this will always be my 'level'.

Family: Yes, they're getting on with their lives.

Girlfriend: No, one long term girlfriend for two years - ended long time ago. Nothing serious since. Lost interest in the game.

    You're very, very vague, OP.

My life hasn't amounted too much........thats about as gorey as the details get...;).

TBH, there really isnt much else to say. Sorry if this another overly vague post.

Have you any idea what you'd like to do in terms of a career/personal goals?

maybe dating would put a bit of fun into life? i tried speeddating once and it was great craic...it does sound like your craving some sort of challenge though...just the fact that your wondering if your not "book" material makes me think you probably are but have gotten a bit bored with your lot.

How about a night course?? i dont know what your field is but there are loads of options for further education out there...and its a great place to meet like minded people..

Dont let another ten years pass and still find yourself feeling this way. Your young, you have plenty of time to find your track!!! Sometimes you just need a push to take the first step!
