    Hey ,

Just did my NCT and failed due to passenger side shock absorber. I understand i should replace both front shocks not just the dodgy one is this correct? Also would anyone know roughly how much this will set me back - dont want to get ripped off in garage - dont plan on bringing it to BMW garage either!

    ANy help appreciated.

Get a price for shocks from GSF (www.gsfcarparts.com).
Do you currently have M-Tech suspension?
Front shocks are an easy enough DIY job so they shouldn't take a mechanic too long!

Its just a regular 318i SE so no M-Tech. Thanks for your help - good link!
