Looking for a vehicle inspection

My partner has decided on her new car - Fiat Panda 2006 :o She has e-mailed the AA twice about getting an inspection report done but received no reply. On checking the boards I discovered they no longer provide this service (despite advertising it on their website!)

Can anyone recommend a company that will do this for her? It still has an 11 month warranty from Fiat on it and the dealer said he will have it serviced for her but I'd be happier if she had an independent assessment before she drives away.

295 for a cartell report? Anything slightly cheaper? It's not exactly a rust bucket and it does have a motorcheck report with it.

If I was buying in Ireland I'd use http://www.carcheckireland.com/default.php again no question.

Affordable and most definitely worth it.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately cannot access their order form on the web so will have to ring them on Monday. I see they're based in Limerick. I presume they have people in Dublin?

They're based in Limerick but travel nationwide for the same fee, I'm not sure how many people are employed by them but I guess it would make sense to have someone permanently stationed in Dublin.

Takes two days for the results. Anyone know someone in Dublin who could do it quicker?

    Hi -

I saw your post about AA vehicle inspections. In fact the AA does still provide this service... you can find out about it at http://www.aaireland.ie/vehicle%2Dinspections/. You can also contact AA Technical Services (Joe Langan) at 01 6179351.

I don't know where you heard that we don't do them but apologies if you found our website confusing. If you have any trouble please send me an email to publicaffairs@aaireland.ie.

    Regards,

    Conor Faughnan
