Why ask? Renault is a different company, the parts are not interchangable.

do you mean to change a headlight bulb, like renaults needing to go to a dealer?

i thought you meant you had to change a bulb...

Its true that french cars can give more than their fair share of electrical problems at times but the 206 is one of the more reliable ones. Plenty of high mileage ones going around. Give more details on the car you're looking at or what you want from a car and you'll get some good advice

    are parts more expensive though?

Parts are no more expensive for French cars as any other.

Thats rubbish has been said to me numerous times in the past. Funnily enough it always comes from people who know little about cars but "someone told them".

Just beware that changing the bulb on certain French cars involves removing half the front end!

    FYP.

    Theres plenty that do it.

Apparently on the Megane you can get at it by removing the liner on the arch. No need to go pulling everything off. Even then, if you have little hands you can do it in the normal way , its just tight in the engine bay is all.

+1 to that. Depends on the dexterity of the person doing the job big hands or small. Some times it just takes a lot of fiddling about and working on feel.

to answer your question, in my opinion, there's little seperating Renault, Peugeot and Citroen for parts prices and general quality/reliability.

Had my 206 for 2 years. No expensive parts to report. The bulbs etc cost a couple of euro.
The headlights can be a pain to change as there r annoying clips to get them out.

    ...actually, they are.

And neither Renault, nor Peugeot, make the bulbs...........
