    ( hope this is the right place to post )

    We are seeking a super Au Pair for our 2.5 yr girl..We arent having much success so far..

    That's not bad money considering you have a roof over your head, food in the fridge and your utilities paid for.

    it also means you're at the beck and call of your employer all day long, and also expected to do 'light housework' - so it's maid service on top of child minding.

    a creche would charge €50 per day, an au pair should get at least that much.

    it's unbelievable how greedy and exploitative some people are, none moreso than Ireland's nouveau rich.

    If you take into account the rent the au pair doesn't have to pay, the food they don't have to buy and the utilities they are getting for free, they are earning much more than €50 a day.
