    Nice one Mike.

    I like Dave Gorman's programmes.

    Yeah.
    I've always liked Dave Gorman.
Love his wry (is that the right word?) humour.

    What's he up to now?
He travelled across most of the US states recently by car, relying only on small businesses or something, didn't he?

Yep watched that a few weeks back and enjoyed it. It was called America Unchained

Try not to give any money to The Man

Its a really good radio show!
On the radio they tend to get really good comedians in as the guest and the cheapness of the radio show is part of the joke

Im worried that the bit of expense and the "BIG" guest star bit will ruin the joke!

    Or entertainment to the viewer.
    Was a pile of horses**t I thought.

I was really looking forward to this, I like Dave Gorman a lot. Unfortunately, I thought it was crap, didn't like it at all. A bit too mainstream, dare I say tabloid. I expected a lot more from Mr. Gorman:(

I like him too, and was a bit surprised when Private Eye did a big story on how his management struck a book deal for the anti-corporate stance of "America Unchained" with, ermm...Random house, (A subsiduary of Bertelsmann, which owns Sony BMG, Rtl, Arvato, The Direct group, and Europes largest magazine publishers Gruner & Jahr. )

    Red faces all round. :D

Terrible show. Worked much better on radio.

I found it mildly entertaining bit disappointing compared to his previous shows. I really enjoyed America Unchained and Are you Dave Gorman? and didn't he also do one where he followed his horoscopes for a month

    Haha.
I'm just remembering the horoscopes one now.
I just love the notion of taking (what many see as) crazy populist garbage and testing it scientifically.
All done in that bemused, mock-serious way that he has.

    was it on the radio?

Was a bit disappointing alright. Parts of it seemed scripted. If they weren't, that taxi driver was a nut.
Did find it mildly amusing that the first idea which initially seemed a bit rubbish was by far the best compared to what came after, but overall wasn't Dave Gorman's best TV ever.

i thought some the first few ideas are funny, and the hood was funny and the democracy bus and how he destroyed was very dave gorman its just te spinning set and the big buttoms and the ginormus set make it seem overblown.

Hmm....not by a long shot. Let's hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Just saw the 2nd episode. I loved the radio show.
They reused two of the 4 ideas in this episode from the radio show! At the beginning they claim to have had 10000 suggestions, yet they rehashed 50% of them from sveral years ago on the radio.
This could have been a very good show but just doesn;t quite work the way it is.

    johnathan pyrce? was hilarious

he was. Best guest i've seen on a TV program in an age. He completely got into the spirit of it and if there's a god, Pryces, 'weather in accents' will be a staple of best of compilations in years to come!
