    Hi,

Not quite ready to pitch to the real dragons, but I'm trying to get something off the ground. Have a website at about 70-80 % completion.

I need between 5,000 and 10,000 Euro to get the project off the ground. Can be one or a number of people. I have a detailed doc pack that I can email to any interested parties.

Please PM me with your email address, business backround, hiow much you can invest and how much equity you'd like to have....

    Lets see how this goes....

    D

    I agree 100% with scien,

the publicity of being on the Den would be more than enough to get you noticed. If its a good idea and you can show it will work, then i would say Go For It! Get an application in! :)

Best of luck with your business btw, I know from experience - setting up a business can be a daunting task but once you start it, it can be addictive and very exiting.

My advise would be to keep things as simple as possible, that way you wont loose track of everything that will be going on around you.

I'd suggest contacting www.businessangels.ie to see if they can do anything for you. Their company matches investors with start-ups. Worth a shot.

Not to be smart or anything but judging by the quality of the pitches seen thus far on DD.ie, I would wager yours could not be any worse and should be better.

What is the €5-10k for, stock, finishing website?
Did you look to local county councils for e-commerce funding?

As for dragons den, look there are only two types of people that get past the cutting room on dragons. Those are the clever people with excellent ideas and the idiots. The guys aor gals with good ideas or ok ideas dont get on the show because it doesnt make for good tv..

You are pitching for money, correct

    1) why do you want to know the business background of your investor - if your bank manager was giving you 10 large - would you want to know was he/she an accountant, baker, candle stick maker? Is it money or money and mentoring you are looking for?

    2) equity - lets see, 49%, no 51%, no 99%! you have a prospectus, once that’s seen perhaps the shareholding would be able to be analysed

And lastly - whilst you laid out exactly what you wanted - you didn’t spell out what you were about to do with someone else money

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far and apologies to anyone who I was late in sending the doc pack out to.

To give an update and to respons to the last poster.

I'm looking for a dragon, not a loan or just 5-10k. I could get a loan or just put the money in myself. I'm looking for someone to share this project with, and to tap in to their particular expertise. Ideally, I'd like them to invest some money too as a sign of their committment to the project.

I accept that the question on equity has to wait until they see the docpack.

In relation to the money, I can detail the plan for the money to the individual.... at the moment, fair to say...finish website, and then mostly marketing....

I have had a great response to this post and if anything it has reasured me that there is still a hunger out there for business development, as well as a few euro to invest in the right opportunities.
