A mother and her daughter each have a son by the same man but neither is married to him .My question is what is the relationship of the children to each other .

Are you trying to find out who you have to get a father's day card for?

the mothers son is the daughters brother, so that makes the mothers son an uncle of the daughters son!

they are half-brothers since they share the same dad !! (IMO)

look at it from the other side ...if a guy has two kids with two different women - whats the relationship between the two kids? .... half brothers - granted the mother daughter aspect of it adds a twist but the common factor is the dad - so makes them half-brothers.

But they are both sons of the father and that makes them brothers also ?

Whatever they are, they probably had better not get off with each other.
