ok folks, this is kinda complicated so sit tight!

a few years ago back when i was in college,I opened an ebay and a paypal account i didn't really know what i was doing
i registered fine but not having a c.card at the time meant it was pretty useless to me so it lay dormant and i've never completed a sale via this account

around the same time my brother opened an account and began ebaying,as his feedback was growing quickly i asked him a few times if i could us it and basically over two or three years of buying it's become like a "joint account"
    this has worked absolutely fine
but last week i sold an item for the first time
i've received payment to the paypal account no problem but today i tried to withdraw that cash to my bank account and it says "this account is registered to another Ebay user"

so obviously i've still got my BOI current account attached to the old unused ebay user id
i can still remember the password to this account but my question his how do i remove my bank account from the old id?

    cheers
    Keith

As far as PayPal nightmares go, this is far from the worst I've heard but...

If you send money from one PayPal account to another, PayPal will charge a fee for that.

You could close your old PayPal account. This may solve your problem though I'm not 100% sure on that. Also, it could take a while for the PayPal account to be closed. I know eBay accounts can take at least a week to close.

The easiest solution would be to withdraw the money to another bank account, possibly your brother's, then transfer the money to your bank account.
