It's good to see both sides being aired, but look at the author:
Richard Munday is co-author of Guns & Violence: the Debate Before Lord Cullen
The problem we have with firearms legislation debates is that, well, we don't have debates, let alone actual constructive discussion - we get two entrenched sides shouting at each other, without the will to seek a compromise, the data to indicate a 'correct' answer, or an acceptable neutral third party to assist in providing either of the first two.

That's the truly depressing thing about looking at this stuff in the US and it's why RKBA stuff is banned in here - because they've gone so far down the entrenched road that now you can't even trust the data from either side (Lott or Brady), let alone the editorial that comes with that data.

Where first off can you find common ground to even consider rational debate on this issue?? Not to mind the fact that both anti gun and pro gun are multi million dollar industries, who are both trying to keep their respective supporters so spooked that the donations keep flowing into the respective coffers. It is so polarised that sorting out NI is childs play in comparison.
