So as we head toward the end of another decade what do you think should be part of the RTÉ series reeling in the 2000s

    The Celtic Tiger
    The Property Boom
    The Special Olympics
    General Election 2002 and 2007 perhaps 2009
    The Grand Slam ????
    The World Cup 2002
    Nice and Lisbon

So in a decade that lacks any Irish Eurovision Winners is this the best decade ever? :D

Still a pipe dream in some places. We only got it 2 years ago. Maybe the rise and rise of dial up.

No millennium bug/end of the world. :(

Isn't that the corollary of the rural one off housing blitz?

There is that yes, but my town was surrounded by broadband enabled towns for at least 3 years. We where mocked and had vegetables thrown at us by them whenever we passed through. On the plus side we had loads of free vegetables.

Yes the new hip slang of the decade that really didn't do it. YoYo's V Quid (we won out and quid was kept) or the Oughties v The 2000s (2000s for me I never like the Oughties) and just so that we don't carry this through to the 2010s, all of the decade can be called the 10s while some of it can be called the Teens.
