A bit of a Nooby question.
I have a JG AU-3G (Aug A3 clone) and I can't get the RAS rail forestock off. I removed both grub screws and the two screws on the top rail and the small grub screw in the bottom rail.

I even removed the tiny grub screw above where the foregrip would go (put it back in when the front part of the outer barrel fell out).

It still seems to be attached to the barrel/gas block

With the RAS off I could swap barrels with my Aug A1, use the A3 as an A2 and maybe even build a plastic/fibreglass copy of the RAS.

Once you remove the 2 grub screws, then take off the outer barrel.

The RAS is kinda wedged on. I usually use a flat head screwdriver. Place the screwdriver in the groove between the RAS and where you attach the front grip on the AUG. Then twist the screwdriver, you dont need a lot of force.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

Sorry I meant to say Allen bolts not grub screws. Had already read review (liked it, should have more like that).

Had removed all screws/bolts from top rail as mentioned in my last post, including the two in the picture in Masada's review.

Still stuck, am at this moment holding AEG by it's front end, buttstock down with all five bolts/screws out (typing one handed).

AEG should be falling groundwards leaving the front end in my hand.

Maybe I just got a dud front end

Should say apart from that, love the this AEG.
