Any 07 Corolla owners get a recall letter recently? My mother had almost thrown hers in the bin thinking it was a sales thing. Aparently the steering column can drop down while driving?

That's not true, just get her to ring any toyota dealer with the reg and they will carry out the recall. The recall only takes 30 min to do.

It doesn't matter if she threw it in the bin. Call your local Toyota dealer and give them the reg/chassis number. They will tell you if any recalls are outstanding and offer to do them for you.
