I am looking for some recommended Irish/Celtic Pride hip-hop artist... and not just an artist from Ireland but artist that reference Ireland, Irish culture and mix in traditional instruments and samples. Back in the 1990s, Boston based House of Pain delievered something along those lines but where perhaps a little over-the-top. Suggestions?

Many of these guys need to upload tracks to iTunes and coin $0.99 per download. (as right now I would be downloading some of this stuff) One of the local artist did this and starting making money right out of the gate.

The Infomatics - 'Irish Times,' and indeed the whole album, is self-critical, but certainly proud in its own.

Ok, I've look high and low for downloads on some of these guys but there is nothing out there. If these guys are for real then they need to get with iTunes or Download.com ... something. Any suggestions short of knocking on their door?

Looking for Rob Kelly's "Alright" and "Dropkicked" ... and "Sin City" by Nu-Centz & Terawrist feat. Redzer.

Too bad I have to wait until I arrive in Ireland to purchase... this is 2009, if an artist is still pushes tracks on pastic only, then you have to question their game. I searched around on iTunes and there tons of unmentionables on there, surely they can upload and make some extra cash.

Most artists are indeed behind their game with regards digital downloads. They're all mostly targetting local audiences (particularly Dublin) rather than people abroad. Alot of them put the albums up for free download after they've gone out of print though.

    Correkt Minds http://www.myspace.com/correktminds
Rob Kelly: St. Paddys Day Mix and Best Of Mix http://www.myspace.com/robkelly
Roysta (10!! albums up for download) http://www.myspace.com/dirtcoredeathsquad
Maverick Sabre (has UK accent but he lived here 15 years) http://www.mediafire.com/?jc9mdsh9nn1

Too lazy to get other links. Other good people who have commerical releases out, and I assume on digital download, are The Infomatics, Messiah J & The Expert, SertOne (instrumental hip hop). If you like House of Pain then look up Scary Eire. They're very old, and the CD is a bitch to get a hold of, but it's incredibly good and was produced in the same period. The emcee from that group RíRá is working on a new album at the moment.

I'm a big fan of The Rubberbandits. They're working on a CD too.

There's alot of good stuff, there's alot of ****. It can make things a bit difficult to sift through but I think the scene has alot of potential in the long run despite all the ****ing begrudgers.
