HI. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes.

I have a Dell laptop (Insipron 6400). Its running (barely) windows Vista. Theres only 1gb of RAM and I want to upgrade this.

Its got 2 x 512mb cards at the moment. Can I replace 1 or both and with how much? Also, is it a case of just pulling out the existing cards and popping in the new ones?

    Thanks in advance.

    Repolho.

Goto the Dell.ie website, and put in your service tag, or get the site to look for it on your machine. It'll have a manual showing you how to replace the RAM.

Max is seemingly 2GB's, and it's €16/€23 for a gig or it. My advice: buy 2GB's. it'll do your sanity a world of good. Then google on how to set Vista to run at "best performance". It turns off all the shadows, and shiny crap, and your machine will run a bit smoother.
