Can anyone tell me the differences between the courses. I know the course in UCD is an approved course by the veterinary council and the course in cork was going through approval last year. Has this course been approved yet?
I know that the course in UCD changed to a four year full time degree. This is a level 8 course. And the course in cork is only 1 year long but you have to have the animal care course done getting into it, so its 2 years in total.

You obviously end up working as a veterinary nurse at the end of which ever course but how can one course be 1/2 years long and another course be 4 years long and u come out with the same thing. Ok not the same paper and not the same level but you do come out as a veterinary nurse.

Also, with the talk of re introducing fees would the course in cork be cheaper since its a PLC college?

I have always wanted to do veterinary nursing but im 26 and the thought of college expenses is scary. And since the course in UCD has been changed, i guess im thinking which course to go for whenever i get the courage to drop everything and go for it.
