Anyone know what the election results were??

Or where I can find the list of who was elected for what position?? Now that the canvasing is over we see no sign of em. Strange in contrast to what it was like beforehand where you couldn't get rid of them...

The following students have been elected to the Students’ Union’s Executive for the academic year 2009/2010:

    President: Gearoid Buckley
    Vice President Education: John Lane
    Vice President Welfare: Deirdre Conroy
    Entertainments Officer: Kelvin McLaughlin
    Communications Officer: Killian Hughes
    Projects Officer: James O’Toole

.... Not that it makes a difference.

    Gearoid as Prez again?

Nothing will get done this year. He's been there long enough and still Open Access remains a huge problem. And now theyre taking away parts of the student centre? granted he couldnt do much about that cos it was a management decision but his idea of protesting just doesn't fly with me

Looks like UCC aren't much better than us. Their students voted to strike over the reintroduction of fees, and the SU organised the strike for the same day as the lecturer's strike when lectures wouldnt have gone ahead anyway :pac:

Interesting thread on it over on the UCC forum.
