Cyprus is now more expensive than Ireland for food and drink because of the tourism it attracts.

Beer and alco pops and more expensive but the measures of spirits are bigger so you will make a killing on those.

Entry prices into clubs could be as much as €30 for the big clubs and a bottle of beer could be anywhere around €10.

Always listen to the Rep when you arrive. They know the inside scoop.

Mad mad place. I grew out of that type of holiday.

You will have a ball. BTW dont fight with the English, 99% of people over there will be British or Russian.

I went there last year with a few friends. It was the best holiday ever. I didn't think food was expensive, actually I thought it was way cheaper than Ireland! Didn't meet many English over ther at all, in fact it was 90% Irish and every single person in the hotel was Irish!
Some of the Nightclubs cost 10/12 euro to get in but just look at the ground on the main street and you'll pick up the discount things. I saw people paying 10euro into places even though there was hundreds of discount cards lying round the streets, fools!
    :D

Would this be true of somewhere like Paphos?

Nice place but....Smirnoff Ice €8 in the nightclubs versus €1.35 in the local supermarket. Best to drink in your apartment before you head out.

I'm thinking of going over there in May. I'm 24 and it's just me and the girlfriend.
Would it be a suitable holiday for us? We not mad to go clubbing every night and don't want louts and knackers everywhere!! Also affordable food and drink would be great!
What are ye guys experiences? Thanks
