I need to get my hands on a few things and have no idea where to get them in the city:

    Compass
    Carabiners
    Decent raingear

I think I should be able to get these all in 1 shop, any tips?

Great Outdoors? If so it's a pretty poor shop, Maher's is great though.

Theres a shop worth trying on the hill at the end of MacCurtain St, leads up to the entrance of the Presbyterian church.

Otherwise upstairs in the place next to the bus station. Is that Mahers? Very helpful people and lotsa clothing options.

Oops, sorry, didn't see the post above!

needlesports.com or jackson-sports.com would be my recommendation. Gear is usually cheaper on line, particularly stuff like the 'biners. Both have really quick delivery too.
