BT Douglas exchange : problems

    Anyone else getting problems connecting to BT in the Douglas exchange? My modem syncs but fails to connect even though it connected fine just hours ago. This is the second time in a week. At present it's 3 hours since the outage started. I suspect over subscription to the exchange and not enough dslams operational.... Any other ideas?

    BT confirmed there is a problem in the Douglas exchange and it affects not just bt but other providers in the exchange. They have no information besides saying that Eircom are too blame. Funny, because eircom broadband from the same exchange works just fine.

    Same problem with BT in Ballincollig, gone since ten past one today :(

    No level two tech person, was told to ring back tomorrow if problem persists.

    Pretty pathetic. 8 hours of downtime so far and nobody there to fix it.
