Food for training

    Hi.

I go boxing training once a week and i was wondering what would be good foods to eat before training, in terms of giving me a good amount of energy to do a good workout. I don't get home from work in time to get a meal into me, as i usually need a good 2.5 hours before training to digest a meal or i get a stitch. At the moment i eat a banana about 1 hour before and then sometimes a small box of raisins about 15 before i start.
Training consists of lots of skipping, pressups, sittups, then hitting the bags and pads. Any advice would be great.
    Thanks.

A litre of milk two hours before!

I used to just have a sandwich two and a half hours before, three bananas an hour before, and a small bottle off water during MMA training.

If I'm going training from work I'll usually have a bowl of museli with some whey in it 3 hours before training. I find that's about spot on.

Your eating the right stuff already.
2 Bananas would give you enough energy for a 90 minute workout.
