Potential bargain alert if you've signed up a couple of accounts with Zavvi over the years (as I have to get that free delivery with a new account).

Got 2 £5 vouchers in my e-mail.. anyone else?

Do they still charge £4 for shipping to Ireland though?

    According to: http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=1037081&c=1

However, Zavvi.co.uk is once more up and running, after E-tailer TheHut bought the rights from administrator Ernst & Young as well as the database, according to Retail Week. The site still carries the old Zavvi branding and layout.

So Zavvi is gone but their website is back in business.

The website reopened at the start of march. They 10% for the opening few days. But when they launched they were shipping nowhere except the Uk for the first week or so. Now shipping anyway

I found this on their T&Cs:

We use Royal Mail to send our items within the UK and Airmail for deliveries outside of the UK.

Depending on the value of the goods delivered we may also send them recorded or special delivery.

I ordered a cd today that had been reduced to £4.95, used my £5 voucher - making it free AND no charge for postage. So a totally FREE 3 disc cd on it's way to me :)

How do you get one of these vouchers?

I wonder do that take the old ones that people thought had become worthless?

using a voucher and the ten percent reduction makes dead space on ps3 about £11. fantastic value for my fave game of 08.

edit: only one discount works at a time

And that's the reason I brought in the 'PM Only' rule for vouchers in the CDWOW thread..!

    No, it's fine.

Didn't mention it in this thread so can't blame you.

Might add it to the charter though.

It didnt work for me. I put in my code, trying to buy a DVD for €3.95. Nothing changed and no message appeared. Tried it a second time and it said a discount code has already been used for this transaction. But the price didn't change.
Tried this with 2 codes I got.

my code isn't taking anything off even though it says it has been applied

Same for me. I've emailed them already. Hopefully they fix it soon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

The codes were working on Tuesday (when they first issued them) but I've a feeling they forgot about the 10% off promotion currently in place so they disabled all vouchers until that promotion ends.

I've e-mailed them about it too. I've two codes.. gonna buy 'Death Proof' and 'Planet Terror' on Blu-ray when they work.

Should be under €14 for the both when they work.

    Same here.

    I have 3 codes.

    Have emailed them also.

    BTW re. voucher expiry date:

"£5 voucher is a single use voucher and expires 30th May 2009."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,200 ✭✭✭✭Basq

Got an e-mail back from them saying:
    Thank you for your email.

We had a technical issue yesterday with the code that was issued to you and we have generated you a new code XX-XXXX-XXXX which will be valid from 09:00 this morning.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
    Not too bad so!

  • Anybody got a voucher they won't be using? There's a dvd I'd like to order. Please PM me if so!! :) Cheers
