Found this tongue in cheek quote by el_tonto in a thread and thought it might be fun to read your suggestions! I'll start with a few. Happy Paddy's day to all

surely 'Giant' deserve a better match

AFAIK, Giant are the largest maker in the world, as are Toyota. They both make boring commuting machines, but Toyota makes the odd interesting sporty thing (e.g. MR2) and has Lexus at the top end.

edit: if that Mondeo comparison is Tonto's, he should know better. The Great Trek Bicycle Making Company deserves respect. Does he love cancer or something?

    More than a saying...

Agree with Giant=Toyota, that was the first thing that came into my head. Orbea deserves something a bit sportier than SEAT though I reckon.

Think TVR is less about technology and more about seer brute power with some retro styling. That's why I choose a Ti manufacturer. Planet X IMO would be more like Lotus.

My old Raleigh Lizard = Daewoo, but I really really loved that bike despite it weighing more than Mary Harney.
