Lads im in the need of my first electical razer, i have never used one and need some info on a decent one to get, i only shave around once a week, wet shave like... and i always prefer myself with some stubble anyway, and my skin doesnt take well to wet shave...

going to pop down to argos this week to get, is there much difference in the 10euro shavers and the 40-50euro shavers?

    cheers

Difference is about 30-40 euros I reckon!

    :D

But being serious the shavers with a foil top can wear it out pretty fast if you are a bit unlucky. There is always the warranty to fall back on if there is a problem so keep your receipts! And as you are not likely to hammer it if you can find one you like at the 10 euro end you can always happily chuck it and get another if it packs up after a few years.

If it does, take it back - but you could ask first if it is covered under their 16 day return policy. And even if it is not, if it doesnt do what it is supposed to I reckon you still have a shout.

I doubt their normal return policy would apply to electric razors.

Panasonic wet and dry shaver. Use it wet with shaving gel and the foils and blades last a long time due to being lubricated.

    Don't economise on a shaver.

If you want to go for the stubble look, my advice would be to go for a beard trimmer. I bought a phillips one years ago just to keep the beard as short as possible without shaving. Think it cost 35e in argos and came with a load of accessories I've never used. Just make sure it has 0 or 1 as the starting grade. Think mine starts at a 1 but I also have one at a 0.

Personally I've used the expensive philisave electric shavers, and never really liked them!! Always seemed to leave patches of hair and irritated my skin.

as above, if you want the stubble look go with a trimmer or there special electric trimmers out for stubble looks. if your skin doesnt like a wet shave it'll HATE an eletric shave, sore and far too dry. try prepping your skin properly for a wet shave, use a good Mach 3 and loads of after shave balm afterwards, leaves it a lot easier on you.
