Most money from dead Punto

    Hey,

posted a while back about a 98 Fiat Punto that was having fuel intake problems. Well, I pretty much tried everything and the damn thing won't work. Fuel gets into the intake & the plugs are firing but somehow between the two it's just not working??? The super-annoying thing is that otherwise the car is completely fine.

Anyway, since fixing it is probably more costly than the resale value (and I have no money anyway) I'm going to scrap it. I know/think you can get it processed at one of those EOL places for free, but I'm thinking that since most of the car is in good order that there must be people out there interested in the parts?

Is there any issue with having a stripped-out (including the wheels) car brought to an EOL centre?

Is it better to strip it down or to just advertise it for parts?

Is there any scrap-yards that would pay for something like that (in Dublin)? If so is there any issue with the car afterwards - i.e. do I need to get an EOL cert from the scrapyard? (Can they even give them if they're not the authorised treatment centre?)

    Thanks,

    t-ha
