Lads one of the guys from vagdrivers.net had his lovely Audi S4 avant stolen from his home in clane last night between the hours of 12 and 7am.

The car reg is 04 KE 54

    P1000588.jpg
    P1000414.jpg

It is a very recognisable car as you can see so if you spot it or think you might have seen it parked up somewhere please contact one of the following.

    The owner on **********

or Clane Garda Station: 045 868262
    Naas Garda Station: 045 884300

It is probably parked up somewhere so if you or anyone you know lives in an apartment complex or over or near a multi story/underground car park please take 5 minutes out of your day to take a quick look.

    Thanks for looking people.

Nothing major from any other S4

right front brake caliper painted black and silver (too lazy to finish the other).

Back wheels covered in tyre fitted smudges from the new Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas fitted on friday

Vagdriver sticker rear window, tax disc holder front window.

    Baby seat in back seat

Just an update on what might make this car stand out as taken from the thread on VAGDrivers

I'd say that's a "steal to order" job and is being dismantled and crated as we speak. Hopefully, it'll turn up safe and sound though, might be resting in an apartment complex.

    Stolen to order I'd say.
    Three possible things will happen.
    1. Used for bank job etc
    2. Exported complete or stripped
    3. Ringed for another one that's been written off from the U.K.

I ain't got much faith that it was just joy riders, but with a bit luck I'm wrong. Always in the Dublin & Kildare areas, so I'll keep a look out.

Can I ask a stupid question and ask how they took it? I would have thought an S4 would have been tough enough to break into and get started?

It wasn't me! Although I am strangely attracted to estates.....:o

When I lived in sallins quite a few stolen cars turned up in my apartment complex car park. There's an underground section in hunterswood. There was an R32 Skyline and a B4 Legacy recovered from there. Both stolen from Naas

Or just ring 999/112 or local garda station where car is.... pointless ringing clane or naas if car is not in their area, that just delays the recovery of the car as all naas or clane are going to do is ring local station where car is located anyway

The car is more than likely going to have false plated on it be now.

Sorry to hear about your car but to be honest with ya i wouldn't hold out too much hope of getting it back... id say the car might not even be in the country anymore.

Trackers are the only way to go if your car is of high enough spec to be a target of organised criminals

There are cars like this stolen to order every day. I'd say a very small percentage are used for tiger kidnappings.

To anybody that lives in apartment complex could you please take a few minutes tonight and have a shifty around your car park please...

Right, it seems that the car has been recoverd safe and sound and undamaged.

It also seems that the owner does not wish for a further discussion of this topic.

So ...the car is back ...the case is closed and so is this thread as we respect the owners wishes.

Some previous entries discussing the retrieval of the car have been deleted.
