'lnb short'

    i built an extension and recabled for my humax freesat on connecting up it worked momentarily then a message appeared 'lnb short' what does this mean and how do i correct it:confused:

    It means the power from the receiver to the lnb is shorted out. Probably your f connectors. Re-do at both ends of cable making sure outer braid does not touch centre core. Ensure outer braid is making good contact with f conn.

    In windy conditions I get "LNB SHORT" on some, not all, channels?
