Hi, new to the site, just wondering what sites are best to pick up last minute sun holiday deals?

I've tried Budget Travel, Falcon and Sunway, but all holidays to likes of Lanzarote or Tenerife seem to be stupidly high in price.

    Any recommendations appreciated : )

Their websites are never very suitable to catch last minute prices because they rely on human beings to update the site with the offers and to ammend those offers.

You would be better contacting your local travel agents office and asking them for their most up to date.

Example, you pass any of your travel agents windows and see reams of adverts for deals which are invariably cancelled holidays by somebody. You never see these holidays advertised online.

Also the days with the cheapest of cheap companies of getting last minute deals are gone. Budget for example are taking the p*ss by charging a late booking fee for last minute deals. Basically they couldnt sell or somebody cancels the holiday. They then sell it for full price and then charge you an extra surcharge for booking it late and heaven forbid you book it within a week of going. They actually charge you €45 to collect your tickets at the airport whereby the person at the kiosk simply prints it out which YOU could have done at home. *Sigh

Thanks for the help. Still couldn't find anything on websites.

So went in to the travel agent in town and what do you know, more availability and costing less.

So booked Lanzarote, happy days. Heading off on Saturday:D

Berty you were spot on with your description, thanks for heads up:)
