Creatine Cycling

Is Creatine cycling worth doing or is it best to take it all the time. A theory i've heard is that it looses optimum effect after about 6 weeks and that going off it for a week or 2 increases the effect when you go back on it. Another theory is that your body needs a break from it in order to be able to produce it naturally. What do you think about this? Any info on Creatine cycling would be greatly appreciated.

Note: I do not want negative responses about Creatine as a supplement, just info regarding cycling of it.

    Thanks,
    Slicus

Since ya need to reach a saturation point with it surely the break every month and a half would leave you once again trying to get to that saturation point again? The reason it would lose effectiveness would be because you have reached the saturation point.

    I think that's right anyway :P

I understand what you're saying regarding saturation but im still unsure as to whether or not you recommend cycling based on the above info?

Sorry, thought it was clear enough. I personally can't see any logic for cycling it.

Cool, cheers for clearing that up, input greatly appreciated.

Anyone else any opinion on this?? I should point out that it's creatine monohydrate i use rather than any other form of creatine.

well ive taken creatine one batch after the next until recently i started cycling it. Basically im on it for about 6 week and off for 3 or 4 and to be honest ive found it more beneficial.
The only reason i can think that this is the case is because when i take creatine i train very very hard and by taking a few weeks average intensity training im giving my body the rest it needs to grow.

Maybe its just me but thats my personal experience
