Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy good make up brushes in Cork other than BTs

Try artists brushes(yes really!) in Cork Art Supplies. Have a good look in places like MAC at specific types of brushes you want and then find their equivelant in C.A.S. It's what I'm planning on doing anyway after watching make up artists on Youtube compare them. The price differences are shocking when you see how similar they are!

Ruby and Millie in Boots has a really good angled eye brush and lip brush.
Two years ago I got two fantastic eyeshadow brushes in Dunnes Stores for €3 each. One was small and the other larger and the have a silver ferrule and a goldish-brown handle. Keep an eye out for them if they still have them because they're really the best eyeshadow brushes I've tried.
If you're looking for a foundation brush avoid the flat ones if you use a liquid foundation (although they are great for mousse) and get a duo-fiber 'skunk brush'. I love the MAC 187 but it's expensive. GOSH, Ruby and Millie and Jemma Kidd all do copies for around €10/15, I haven't used any of them but they look good.

Someone above suggested using artists brushes, which works, but good quality paint brushes cost almost as much as makeup brushes so you don't really save very much.

So true about Dunnes makeup brushes, I bought my foundation brush in there - it is so soft quality is great and it was only 5 euro! definitely have a look in there for a good affordable brush

I read hundreds of reviews online about brushes when I wanted to get proper makeup brushes!! +1 for artists brushes, haven't tried them but have heard great things!!!
The brushes I went for were recommended on loads of sites as being cheap but as good as MAC. You can't get them here but I bought my set on ebay, the brand is 'kirkland by borghese'. They are really good, very soft and they stay soft after washing them and the hairs don't fall out!!!
I just did a quick ebay search and there are 2 sets on there at the moment

Oh and don't buy brushes off an ebay seller called Bun bun city or anyone selling the same sets, I had a pretty bad experience, brushes were all cut incorrectly and totally unsuitable for the names they were given! For eg not one stiff brush in the whole 32 piece set.
