Hey lads, another what program question.

Basically im in trainin in work at the minute and its all runnin and runnin with weight, was on the 5x5 before xmas and all my gains are out the window.

Ill be toning down the runnin in three weeks when its over and back on the weights again.

Im torn between going back to the 5x5 again or going with Pavel 80/20 powerlifting.( i have the rundown of the prog if yee dont know it but somehow i reckon yee will)

My goals are to retain a level of the runnin built up over the last three months and also get the numbers on the lifts up, im 13st/182lbs/82.5kg and not really lookin to get heavy just wnat to get the lifts up ie squat bench and dead, especially the squat.

diet at the minute isnt up to me work feeds me and i have no choice on what it is!!

Have a look at Jim Wendlers 5/3/1 if you're gonna be running through fields with your buddies on your shoulders on your rest days :)

I'm on it at the moment, it's 3 days a week and I'm loving it. I've read anecdotal evidence of it being a good program for those who want to fit in cardio or conditioning stuff but still work on gains in the lifts. I'm just using it for the extra days to recover on (fat powerlifter type).

In fact Wendler is training to try out with an American Football team at the moment so he's fitting it in around loads of hill running and sled dragging.

If you can't find the info on it have a look at my log for the layout.
