i would like to know the best way to turn right when you are doing your driving test, i did my driving test last week in finglas and failed, this lady failed me nine times on one particular thing, that is turning right, and one on technical check that is lights, she asked me to switched on my fog lights and i told her i don't have a fog lights but this is what and how to switch the lights on and i did, am very confused, if this woman who conducted the tes is new or she just doesn't like me, the funnynthing is she was telling me am a very good driving, and i told her that she should give me a break because i don't think she was being fair to me?

so can some one tells me how to turn right and also about the fog lights issue, ia ma a bit confused here because if i know how to turn left then how can't i turn right?

    Have a look here.

Other than being close to the median line and turning into the slow/breakdown lane (in a multi lane road) and slowly merge into the driving lane (assuming that there is no filter signal).

Were you checking all your mirrors before turning and did you give a glance into the road firstly before turning!?

    did you cut a corner?!

When you are told to put on your fog lights they mean your REAR FOG LIGHTS
Just Dont forget to switch them off

They OP may have been referring to rear fog lights. ;)

There is no statutory requirement to have front or rear fog lights. (Many people are under the impression that rear fogs are a mandatory requirement).

during my test a few weeks ago, he asked me to switch them on... i had a look around the dash nd then said the car didn't have any and that was it. not an issue..

    check the videos on drivingtesttips.ie

if you turn right just like the guy in the video, you'll pass

Surely you didn't have to look around the dash to know whether your car had fog lights?

did you do lessons with a school very close to test centre, more than likely 90 degree right turns rather than cutting corner.

More than likely she was failing you on too wide or too tight right turns. It could also be that you were not in a correct postion or approaching on the road in order to turn right off the road onto another road.

The fog light button can be a tricky thing to find on some cars. You should check your vehicles owner manual in order to find it.

as far as i remember, the correct way of turning right is; mirrors, signal mirrors, position so you are close to the centre line, stop with the nose of the car in line with the centre line of the road you are turning into, glance into the road you are turning into, when the way is clear turn so the car ends up in the centre of your lane of the road, don't go too far over or you will have to steer harder to get the car in the correct position

Now for the fog light issue, what make model and year is the car and i will tell you where the rear fog light (if any) switch is located
