Television Club, Harcourt Street, photos?

Hi there,
Would anyone know where I might be able to get a photo of The Television Club (or Telly/TV Club) on Harcourt Street. My Mam used to go there and has always wanted to see an old photo of it, so I'd love to find one for her. I've done a google search, but no luck.

I remember seeing a photo in the Hotpress, it could have been 5, 10, or maybe even 20 years ago. If U2 ever played there, there's sure to be a pic somewhere online. Good luck in your search.

Thanks scawgeen. I did another little search with U2 and found picture of a U2 ticket from the Television Club!
I think I'll give up, I don't think I'll find any, I tried television, TV and telly, no luck though.

Might be worth emailing Hotpress/Herald and seeing if they had anything in their photo archives. Would only take a second, and you never know..

Thanks welease, great idea, thanks for suggesting it. I had a look at the website but can't find where to apply for prints of photos, I remember ages ago reading that you can order old photos. I'll have another look again, or maybe i'll just send a general email.

Hi ,
im from only round the corner and i remember the tele club we used to nick stones from the front to shoot in our gats lol ,
anyway u might try the national architectural archives in merrion square, it has tonnes ofpics of old buildings from all over the country i went recently and got some pics of where i grew up its a real trip down memory lane

Thanks Nostalgic, I didn't know about that. I just looked up the website. I'll definitely try there. I don't know if I should go myself and try, or tell her and let her go, I'd say she'd enjoy looking through some of the collections herself!

Some time later :pac: I PM'd OP but got no response.
This is a still from a video which is the front of the venue, remember it so well.

The still is from a Whistle Test programme on Dublin back in the day which has some footage of the Blades on stage at the TV Club.

I don't think they were removed intentionally. Both his/her links have 'expired' in some way, you can see the source link when you quote them, I'm not familiar with material cross linked from facebook..

EDIT: Expiring Facebook image links is a known issue.

Yeah, I saw that bit about 'URL signature expired' in the poster's link but I don't know how to source the original pics either. Maybe they'll turn up yet! Thanks anyway.
