Hey looking to buy a new floor tom but find them hard to find on the net to buy seperatley. I was ideally thinking of a Gretsch or Ludwig drum but dont have alot of money so ideally wondered firstly which is better, Yamaha or Tama and any good website suggestions other than Thomann..?

I don't think you can really say Yamaha or Tama are better than each other, they each make a lot of different grades of drum to meet different price points. Ideally, you'll want something that will suit the rest of your kit.

You could try talking to Ro downstairs in X-Music, he's a gent and should be able to steer you in the right direction, plus, they should be able to match the Thoamann price too.
