My clippers packed up & I'm gonna get me a new one today. Any recommendations? Was thinking of heading to Boots.

I have these ones, Philips qc7150 clippers, easy to use and do a good job. (If you can think to LOOK at the distance between the guide comb and the blades, as that reviewer seemed unable to do...)

the WAHL clipper is the best, but you will have to go to the nearest hairdressing supplier, the way the economy is it shouldn't be a problem ,getting one off them, they're around €60 but well worth it.

They sell those Wahl ones in Argos.

I just got my bf a hair and beard trimmer in Argos, tho he hasnt got it yet so verdict awaits but its a Phillips one and does from 0.8mm-21mm which is great for his beard [hopefully] :P http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4428619/c_1/1|category_root|Health+and+personal+care|12160701/c_2/2|cat_12160701|Men%27s+grooming|12160772.htm

There are Bablysis, Phillips, Remington and Nicky Clarke ones in boots ranging in price also most of these range from 3mm-15mm on average [yes I looked around alot] so I guess it depends how short you do your hair.

Hope that helped. GL op \o

the argos ,wahl is of an inferior quality to the genuine one,why pay 20 or 30 euro for rubbish when you can get the real thing for 60

The palm one's I heard are great for those who want to cut it themselves with out someone watchin to make sure it's ok!

Tho I have used nearly every brand of a clippers out there when cutting lads hair, right down to cheapo ones picked up for under a tenner & every one of them works just as well once the blades are kept clean & oiled.

As for buying one in Argos doesn't matter how cheap it is, make sure you get the 3 year insurance on it, cost only a few euro & your sure of having a clippers for the next 3 or 4 years.
