5/8-12 Rep Alternating

I've just recently started a 5 rep per set programme, and the weights have pretty much been increasing consistently since I've started. But my goals are to make gains in mass, and apparently higher reps of around 8-12 are more suited to this.

What I was wondering is whether anyone has tried a programme of 5 reps per set one week, and then 8-12 the next. I thought it might bring out the best in both worlds.

Would there be any cons to such a programme?

    Frankenstein programs rarely work tbh.

best to focus on one thing at a time ie alternate high volume with low volume.
