Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi brum, at this time of year there aren't many indoor tournaments, which would be 5-a side. not sure if this is what you're looking for but I'm sure it's a good start:

Although its not exactly what you're looking for, the annual dublin summer league will be back soon enough.

Its a Hat league, which means teams a drawn from a hat at the start of the summer and matches are played usually every monday night (From 7-9 if i recall correctly)

Keep an eye out a the link above for when its annouced. You and your mights might even be able to be placed on the same team.

Ultimate is a 7 a side team sport that is played with a frisbee.

Its played on a pitch a bit smaller than a soccer pitch with an end zone at either end, just like American football.

The object of the game is to pass the disc amongst your team and make a successful pass into the end zone for a goal.

If the disc is dropped, hits the ground or is intercepted by the defending team the it is a turn over and the defending team begins attacking the other endzone.

You cannot run when you have the disc, and you have 10 seconds to pass it.

If you want any more info just ask, but one of the best things you can do is just look up ultimate frisbee on youtube and you'll see it in action for yourself.

Its not too big in ireland but its growing. A few hundred people play regularly, most of which would be at university clubs.

www.irishultimate.com has all the info about the sport in ireland.

    Where can you buy frisbees

Disccraft discs are generally considered the best and are the offical ones used in ultimate. They used to sell them in a shop in town called urban, but i think thats closed now. I've also heard you can by some in The Great Outdoors, but i'd say the cheapest way to get some would be from a club or from the IFDA. Send an email to david perry secretary@irishultimate.com and he's be more than happy to sell you one. Most university clubs have their own discs as well for sale so if you got in touch with Trinity Ultimate or UCD Ultimate you should be able to find one. (you can find website and contact details for all irish clubs on www.irishultimate.com)

Usually it'll cost you about €12 but you might be able to get one from the IFDA for €10.
