I'm thinking of going to Thailand in July this year but my friend told me this is rainy season. Has anybody been there around this time? Would it still be hot and sunny or would it be overcast and raining a lot?

    Thanks!

Rainey season means you can have a downpour for an hour or two where it is like turning on the bath the amount of water comes down and then it stops and sun comes out and water drys up.

So it'd still be hot and sunny most of the time and Should be able to get a tan? I don't want to be coming back whiter than when I left.

I had my concerns about Phuket and the weather. Rainy season begins on the 1st April as far as they are concerned and I am going to be in Phuket in around 4 weeks time.

We are expecting rain for 1-2 hours most days but will keep our fingers crossed for NO rain.

All except the Songkran festival where locals and tourists throw water at each other for 3 days from the 12th April. *Sigh as I dont like getting wet.

    Yep.

I wouldn't go all the way to Thailand just to go to Phuket.
