    Hi

I have a 01 Seat Leon with 55K Miles on the clock it has been scraped/keyed on both sides of the car. Its silver so not too noticable.
    Its a 1.4 Signo

Now I am thinking of changing to bigger car diesel which is hatchback as well get great use of the booth on the leon with the seats down.

I have been browsing the usual sites and came accross this car
Seat Toledo. A bit funky looking but I like it.

How much of a trade in do you think I would get.

I have my car serviced regularly by my local mechanic. At the moment the lamda sensor needs to be changed its got the orange light on the dash but as I needed the car for the weekend he didnt get a chance to fix. He said its fine to drive though. Hes a excellent mechanic Rory in Bridge Motors.

    Anyway what do you think

If it's been keyed, I'd think €2,500 is about right for that mileage (if sold privately). Maybe €2k trade in.

Do you think a garage would pay that I'd be happy. Do you think I'd get it for 4k with my car as a trade in and would it be worth it.

I'd be looking for 5.5k of you anyway. Dependant on the condition of yours, and the one forsale.

5.5k to come up 4 years to a diesel from keyed 01 petrol car of same brand (even if not same model) ? Wouldn't sound dear to me.

OP, I'd be amazed if you could get it for 4k with your own. That's a cheap 05 diesel, so you can't reasonably expect full value for yours. If you sold your own for 2500 (you would be doing well IMO based on information you provide) and haggled them down to 6500 then you might change for 4000.

Aye it's the cheapest diesel on the net. I don't know how they work their costing, but if I was to take the Leon I'd want to have it costing me very little. Valid points in your post.
