My uncle's jeep didn't start for him yesterday, he thinks it might be dirty petrol, bits of dirt in the tank blocking something(yes I had stopped paying attention at that exact point). There is nothing he can do with it only get someone from a garage to look at it.

Could be lots of things. Is it turning over when u turn the key?

If so, have you recently moved it a short distance, could she be flooded with petrol. Take out fuse for fuel pump turn her over for a bit then put fuse back in and see if she bites.

Have a look at your spark plugs.

    If not maybe starter??

Any more info other than wont start?

Edit--- I see that absolutly nothing happens right?
Battery- Immobiliser - more likely battery - what type of car.

Petrol, MItsubshi Lancer 2000, have it 2 years. Never had any probleam until tonight. Lights work perfect, and all the other electrics. I dont use the car to much now since I changed job so not a big deal. Cant really afford to have it towed to garage.

Did the engine turn over and refuse to start or when you turned the key did nothing at all happen, any noises or flickering dash lights ,anything like that?

Was drive last weekend. Yes petrol there, about have half a tank. I havent pushed it, I will probably try that at the weekend. When I try to start, there is a noise there. The lights on the dash began to flash.

    Drove perfectly last weekend?

I'd say it probably just needs a push after not been driven for a while. Those mitsu lancers are ultra reliable.

I drove the car last weekend, so that is just a 4 day difference. Surely that cant be the reason why it wont start, its not as if its a old heap of crap. I drive the car every weekend.

Your battery's not completely flat, but it doesn't have enough charge to start the car. You need to either jump-start, push-start or recharge the battery.

If my battery is flat, or flat enough not to start, should all the electrics not work. As my lights, cd player and electrics are all perfect.
