To tie us over til a "rumoured" movie: ArrestedDevelopmentDoc.com

    From IMDb:
This documentary follows the story of the show through fan, cast and crew, and celebrity interviews.

No real information on it's status, or when it'll air. However:

I really hope they do make a movie! One of the best comedies of the last decade, and totally unfairly pulled before its time :(

People who hate 'Arrested Development' just don't understand it.. and probably shovel in the excrement of 'Two And A Half Men' to tie them over!

Fantastic first two seasons. Not pulled before its time though. Faded fast in the stop/start final season. Should be left be.

For currently running comedies, I can see a good deal of Arrested Development in 30 Rock - and not only because of Arnett's recurring character.

I totally see flashes of Arrested Development in 30 Rock both are similar comedy styles.

Arrested Development was clever funny and IMO was too clever for the vast majority of the american tv audience especially when you look at comedies that succeed and run and run in the recent past ie. Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens and the previuosly mentioned Two and a Half Men.

I still argue that it was pulled too early.

The best comedy over the last decade. An utter shame about it being pulled
Yeah ive heard about this being in the pipelines for a few months now. the only setback was apparently that the guy who plays George Michael hadnt agreed to it yet. Everyone else had though i think. Cant remember for the life of me where i read that though

    Best comedy series ever IMO.

3rd series took an odd direction alright, but still had me consistently pissing myself.

I thought 3rd season was immensse, they knew they were getting cancelled and just fucking went for it, not a bad way to go

Henry Winkler (Barry Zuckerkorn) jumping over a shark - GENIUS

Once again with an American TV Show not aired over here,I was a little skeptical about watching it as I didn't really know what it was about! (Same as 30 Rock in that respect)

But having just seen Season 1+2,I can honestly I've never pissed myself laughing so consistently at a Tv Show,I mean its just genius. The characters are wacky as hell, and the plot is even more so,but its just works somehow!

Which leads me to the question....Why in gods name was it cut?!

I was aired on BBC2. I think it made an appearance on TV3 too.

The 'loose seal' skit was hilarious!

Love this show. Its absolutely excellent. I loved the way jokes ran over a few episodes and some jokes recurred with new twists. Also each episode was only a part of the full story. It was really well written and had a great cast that suited their characters perfectly. I was really sorry when it went. But now its back :D

It was on TV3 when I watched it.

You can stream every episode here 100% legally :)

Love the way the whole programme had a good symmetry, with it starting and ending on a boat! :D

I would hope tambor kicks cera up the ass. i dont know why he's dragging his heels on this, he plays george michael in every film he's been in anyway, so he may as well do it in an AD movie....as his schtick is rapidly getting old.

Picked up the region 1 DVD's of seasons 1 - 3 on Amazon last year... €20 for the 3.

Only started re-watching them last week in fact.

    Season one, fantastic
    Season two, very good
    Season three, not as good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 44,195 ✭✭✭✭Basq

I think I was one of the first to say season 3 wasn't a patch on the first two when it was airing.. but I think I'm in the minority that preferred season 2 to season 1.
