    <snip- no need for that>

    Now, onto my question.....

How likely do you think a zombie invasion/infestation is?
    a) Very likely
    B) Likely
    c) Neither Likely or unlikely
    d) Unlikely
    e) I need to get out more

In the event it does happen which of the following options would you take. Remember this is a worst case scenario and you have to pick one of these options (you can't say I'd kill the zombies etc etc because you have almost run out of bullets or you are trapped or whatever. there is no escape)

    a) shoot yourself in head
    b) allow yourself to be bitten and become a zombie. Who knows, it might not be that bad.

    Atari Jaguar. :p

It doesn't matter how likely or unlikely a Z outbreak is, the facts are you should be prepared for one anyway!

Oh, ok, option (c) for the sake of completeness.

    Option C
You better hope I go with option A on part 2. Who really wants to fight a zombie werewolf.

Scanario 6: Snakes on a plane - with zombies.

You're on a transatlantic flight from america to france, an an air france A330 [single deck, pretty big.] You notice one of the passengers coughing, and they subsequently pass out. you continue drinking your coffee when the ill passenger reanimates and begins eating at whoever is nearby. as cabin crew rush to restrain the zombie, they too suffer scratches, bites and whatnot, and in turn become infected. You are alone on the flight, and you have just your weekend carry-on luggage containing clothes, a laptop and charger cable, some aspirin and an umbrella.
    - the door to the cockpit is sealed.
    - no-one except you realizes what has just transpired, and with the zombie restrained, others look on at the scene rather than taking cover.
    - you are over the atlantic, approximately 5 hours from your destination
    - time of transformation is 3-4 hours, as the person was not ill on boarding the plane, which suggests there may be another source of contagion.
    - you don't like snakes.
    - you do not know how to fly! [unless your a fully qualified and A330-300 type-rated pilot.]

    ______________________________________________________________

    Scenario 7: Nowhere to run
you're on a camping/adventure sports weekend with people from your office/department/workplace, with no more than 10 of you in the group. you leave your hostel to go kayaking, and find a body washed up on the shore of the lake. it doesn't look decomposed, so one of your 10 decides to attempt to revive it. in doing so, the water-logged corpse decides to eat your friends face. you return to the hostel to get help, and discover several waterlogged zombies wearing airplane life preservers and a few of the hostel occupants also shambling as well.
    - you are approximately 15 km from the nearest house, and a further 40 km from the nearest village.
    - you discover that everyone from your group has left their cellphone in the now zombie-infested hostel.
    - you are equipped with a wetsuit, kayak, paddle, helmet and life preserver.
    - there is a toolshed nearby, with a lone zombie outside, but the shed is padlocked.
    - there is an ATV parked nearby, with the engine running, and a corpse next to it.
    - average response time in this remote area for a helicopter evacuation is ~2 hours form the point you make a phone call.
    - a car has skidded and crashed into the parked cars at the entranceway, blocking the dirt track that leads to the camp.
    - searching the dock, you find a flare gun.
    _________________________________________________

using your own skills, or those from your workplace in the second scenario, solve the zombie scenarios.

Note: you are not trained with firearms, unless you are in the army.
you are not allowed have action heroes, seal teams, etc. in your answer.
you may mcguyver things, but do so realistically. do not assume the plane or toolshed has a welder/lathe etc.
you may assume the responding authorities will not take your claim seriously and will be hesitant to send help.

any additional information will be provided on request :D

Scenario 6 has already been seen in the film "Flight Of The Living Dead" :D

Scenario 6 - Lock the zombie in to the toilet with great care so that no one else gets infected. Isolate those who have been infected, maybe in the last rows of the plane and put careful watch on them. Tieing them up would be ideal, although I don't know if the rest of the crew and passengers would agree to this.

Tell the cabin crew to instruct the pilot to ring ahead to the airport for quarantine controls to be set in place and at the ready.

Scenario 7 sounds completely manageable. Kill the zombies and carry on as if nothing had happened.

suppose. i should have made it harder. maybe with like say 50 zombies, no atv or flare gun, and say 5 on your team [with one dead] i suppose i was going for the macguyver scenario where you have to contraption your way out, or slowly retake the place.

You didn't mean around 50 in the first place? I thought when you mixed the plane crash in with a hostel full of people we'd be talking at least 50 zombies.
