Hi, Im looking at practice setting up, small scale at outset (3 staff), and am looking for approx/guideline charge out rates ( Partner, manager and trainee levels). Work would primarily be advisory level, ( Corporate finance, recovery, banking, mgmt accounts, tax, business plans, etc) .

Finding it v difficult to get this info even from friends, so some guidance would be of great help. City based, low overheads. PM me if thats preferable.

Some firms are moving to fixed fees.

Or have a look here http://www.alanmoore.ie/tax_consultation.php

It would worry me slightly that someone would come on a discussion board to ask this type of question. typically the type of person that is thinking of setting up a practice would have a goood understanding of what competitors are charging. Anyway the ICAI provide an annual practice comparison survey which shows details of charge out rates practice income etc. you will find this invaluable if you want to see what charge out rates are. This kind of information should be available from your regulatory body. I would also recommend that you shoudl contact Des O Neill in omnipro. (www.omnipro.ie) Have a chat with him and he will put in the right direction (no afilliation to Des - i have just used him and found him very good) Best of luck in what you do. PM me if you need any other advice.
