My Tele is in need of some serious fret attention.

If you could recommend someone in the west that would be good.

Me, I trust Derrick Nelson to do it as he's done setup's on two of my basses before and I was extremely happy. The playability improved a hell of a lot.

I don't know anyone in the west who does it unfortunately.

I'd love to be able to do it myself... maybe i'll pick up a really cheap bass or guitar that needs work to hone my skillz on (read as "feck up bigtime").

There is a guy in Limerick, John Conway, who does repairs along with being a guitar builder. His work is first rate, and he seems to be the guitar tech of choice for a lot of the pro-players in the south west. That said, Limerick isn't necessarily any closer than Dublin coming from Galway.

Well Limerick is only about 1.5hrs from Galway. I drive up and back every wkend.

Do you have the business details of John Conway? I have a dodgy fret on my guitar too...
